The main difference between hot chamber die casting and cold chamber die casting lies in the method of introducing molten metal into the mold. Hot chamber machines have an internal pool that holds the molten metal, and the injection of the molten metal is done automatically within the machine, whereas cold chamber machines require an external source to hold the molten metal, and the injection of the molten metal is done manually by an operator or a robotic die-casting machine.
